“Is InjuryLawyers4U a claims management company?”
No, we are not in the business of offering loans, insurance or credit agreements. InjuryLawyers4U is a regulated network of specialist solicitors. The approved solicitor we assign to you will manage all aspects of your claim, not us. Your relationship with your solicitor will be completely independent of InjuryLawyers4U.
Back to questions“Does InjuryLawyers4U only deal with accident cases?”
Yes. InjuryLawyers4U only handles compensation claims arising from accidents or negligence. Many of our members deal with different areas of the law; these may not be covered by the "no-win, no-fee" agreement. Your solicitor will be happy to provide you with full details.
Back to questions“How long will the claim take?”
This will depend on the circumstances of your case. A straightforward road traffic accident can be settled within months, whilst more serious injuries may take longer. Once we have carried out initial investigations, we will be in a better position to anticipate how long it will take. You can be assured that InjuryLawyers4U will not delay your claim.
Back to questions“What if my injury occurred a while ago?”
Generally, you have three years from the date of your injury to make a claim. If the accident involved a minor (under 18), the three years does not start until the minor's 18th birthday. There are other exceptions to this three-year rule, which your solicitor can explain if you send an enquiry.
Back to questions“I am not sure if I have a genuine claim.”
Every case is different, so we assess each claim on an individual basis. If you have no case, we will tell you. It is not in your interest or ours to proceed with a case we do not feel will succeed. To get advice about your claim, send an enquiry.
Back to questions“Will my case really cost me nothing?”
In nearly all cases, clients are covered by a conditional fee agreement ("no-win, no-fee"). This will cost you nothing. Your solicitor will explain this during your initial consultation.
Back to questions“Is there a penalty if I withdraw early?”
If our solicitors advise you that your claim is unlikely to succeed, you may withdraw and pay nothing. However, if you decide not to proceed for reasons of your own, you may be billed for all charges incurred on your behalf.
Back to questions“Do I have to attend the solicitor's office?”
No. As a national network, we have personnel and agents all over the country. We will visit you in your home or place of work, if you wish. Alternatively we can deal with your claim entirely by telephone, post or e-mail.
Back to questions“How does InjuryLawyers4U get paid?”
As a consortium of solicitors, we are funded by our member firms which contribute to our marketing fund. The company itself does not receive payment and does not exist to make a profit. The member firm dealing with your case will be paid by the party responsible for the accident, or by their insurance company. Learn more about InjuryLawyers4U.
Back to questions“Will I have to attend a medical?”
Yes. Where we feel it is appropriate, we will arrange a medical examination with an independent doctor. This appointment will be local so you will not have to travel very far to attend. You can include these travel expenses as part of your claim.
Back to questions“How much compensation could I expect?”
The level of compensation depends on the medical evidence. We can only predict the amount when we receive the independent medical report. We will then give you our informed opinion of how much your claim is worth.
Back to questions“What should i do if i have a complaint against IL4U?”
We are committed to providing a high quality legal service to all our clients. When something goes wrong we need you to tell us about it. This will help us improve our standards. To print off a copy of our complaints procedure (PDF Format) please click here
